We bridge the gap between digital CAD files and physical reality. RAPID.HUB operates a high-capacity additive and subtractive manufacturing facility tailored for engineering teams, hardware startups, and industrial designers.
We do not run desktop printers. Our floor consists entirely of commercial-grade SLS, DMLS, and 5-axis CNC machines capable of holding strict dimensional tolerances and utilizing engineering-grade materials.
Selective Laser Sintering uses a high-power laser to fuse small particles of polymer powder into a solid structure. Because the unsintered powder supports the part during printing, no support structures are required. This allows for incredibly complex geometries, moving hinges, and internal channels.
- Primary Material: Nylon 12 (PA12)
- Tolerance: ±0.3% (Lower limit ±0.3mm)
- Characteristics: Isotropic strength, matte finish
Direct Metal Laser Sintering produces fully dense metal parts directly from 3D CAD data. It is the optimal solution for complex aerospace brackets, medical devices, and custom tooling components that cannot be easily machined.
- Available Metals: AlSi10Mg, Ti6Al4V, 316L SS
- Density: >99.5%
- Post-Processing: Bead blasting, CNC tapping
For components requiring tolerances tighter than additive manufacturing can provide, we operate 3-axis and continuous 5-axis milling centers. Perfect for final surface facing on 3D printed metal parts or rapid machining of aluminum prototypes.
